REPORTS TO:
Hardware Engineering Technical Manager

JOB SUMMARY
Tasks will include component review and approval, board-level hardware troubleshooting, and testing to ensure that the product meets all functional and regulatory compliance requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES
•Troubleshoot electronic assemblies to component level, with root cause failure analysis.
•Review schematics and engineering instructions for assembling units.
•Design of small printed circuit boards to interface between electronic products and automated test fixtures.
•Replace defective electronic components using hand tools and soldering iron.


Qualifications
An associate degree in electronics or related field is required plus 5+ years experience as an electronics technician. Ability to solder fine pitch surface mount components such as Small Outline Integrated Circuit (SOIC). Strong communication, documentation, organizational and teamwork skills are required. Ability to design test boards is preferred.
Familiarity with audio test equipment such as Audio Precision and National Instrument is a plus. Must be able to read and understand electronic schematics, use oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, and frequency counters. Must have experience with computer data entry, customer requirements/specifications and other applicable quality requirements. Familiarity with Microsoft Office is required.
