We currently have an opening for a Sr. Hardware and Systems Engineer in our Salt Lake City office.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing board-level hardware for professional audio and consumer conferencing systems. The selected candidate will design and develop digital and analog audio circuitry, FPGA code, and communications interface hardware for conferencing applications. Tasks include hardware and programmable logic design for board-level implementation based on product requirements, component selection, schematic capture, Bill-of-Materials generation, board-level hardware troubleshooting, and testing to ensure that hardware meets regulatory compliance requirements. The candidate must be capable of working independently and/or as part of an integrated product team.
Qualifications
•BSEE or equivalent
•6+ years experience in design and development of mixed signal (analog/digital) board-level electrical hardware. This includes experience with the full product life cycle from requirement definition through first customer shipment and sustaining.
•Strong digital design skills including experience with DSP-based hardware designs.
•Experience with programmable logic design using Verilog and/or VHDL
•Strong communications, documentation, teamwork, and organizational skills.
•Experience with designing, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements including safety, radiated and conducted emissions, immunity, and environmental (temperature, humidity, vibration, etc.) requirements.
Desired Skills:
•Hands-on experience with multi-level printed circuit board layout a plus.
•Experience designing professional audio hardware (greater than 100 dB SNR, greater than 100 Watts per channel).
